Wow, yet another SXSW has come and left our beautiful city. Now that we've all had enough time to rest and detoxify, let's look back at some of the best designs that brought us the SXSW party information.

The Warner Sound Captured by Nikon: Event Posters for the Belmont
Each of these posters relate to the viewer by offering an experience or memory. The handwritten styled font gives the event a personal and approachable feel. All of this combined with the posters' imagery suggest a fun time.

GSD&M Industry Party
Of course a major design agency would come up with a neat poster. What is more appropriate to SXSW then a hipster leather jacket embellished with punk buttons and safety pins? Throw in some fun typographic design and call it a day.

The Red Bull Sound Select: 120 Hours in Austin Event Website
When I found out the Smashing Pumpkins were playing at the Red Bull Party, I quickly jumped onto the website to send in my RSVP. I was immediately impressed by the clean and modern website. The subtly blurred image works well as a background with the simplistic icons and navigation. It made finding my way around very easy. After all, we all know how much a pain rsvping to all these events can be. Clean user interface is key!

Blunder Town and Sailor Jerry Event Poster
This is one cool poster. The colors, texture and silkscreen effect ring true to the Austin poster scene... vintage, eclectic and little bit of rock and roll.

SXSW Comedy Poster by Todd Slater
The colors are awesome, both cool and warm giving a nice contrast. The mirrored images create a compelling design, and the patterned arrows are relative to Texas and Southwestern flare. Is it funny? Not really. But Todd still managed to design a creative poster that made me stop and check it out. Great work!

I love Todd Slaters' work so much that I went to Flatstock 38 and purchased his Jack White - Sydney poster for my house. Pictures will be posted on my Instagram soon. Follow me @JenniferAltDesign.
