How might we best create a community of adventurous individuals? The solution, a digital application experience called Thrill Seeker—connect your adrenaline and experience levels with other users. I was featured on Adobe Live as a guest UX designer for a 3 Day Live Stream. For 2 hours each day I discussed my design process and approach while designing and rapid prototyping Thrill Seeker 100% live.
I sought to understand the thrills people were seeking, how they approached planning such adventures, and what were their hesitations. Through user research and competitive analysis I discovered a gap in the market.

The mobile application allowed the user to search by location (current location being default), thrill type, personal adrenaline level and experience level for said thrill. The results output other individuals with similarities. Users can then view profile information of recommended matches, "heart" favorites, or directly connect with the individual. It is here at the messaging stage where the magic and connection happens. My research uncovered users may not want to reveal their "secret spots" or "local knowledge"as they like to call it until there is a trusted relationship. However, through shared mutual passion for a thrill users were more inclined to share experiences. Not necessarily for monetary reasons, but a trade of knowledge, an exchange of experience, or joy of seeking thrills. It is also within this communication that planning can be made in regards to logistics and safety considerations needed.
